Inspired by President Nelson's talk in the April 2018 General Conference, Ministering with the Power and Authority of God, I decided to try to sing the Hymn, "Rise Up, O Men of God," in Spanish. However, this hymn is not in the Spanish hymnal. I was able to find a complete translation of the hymn in Spanish translation of President Hinckley's talk “¡Levantaos, hombres de Dios!” from the October 2006 General Conference.
Using the above translation as a starting point and some help from my friend Lehi Castañeda, I as able to come up with the following song, ¡Levantaos, hombres de Dios! We plan to sing this for the coming father's day song in our Sacrament meeting.
¡Levantaos, hombres de Dios!
Despojaos de vilezas.
Dad corazón, alma, mente y fuerza
y al Rey de Reyes servid.
¡Levantaos, hombres de Dios!
en unido batallón.
Llegue el día de hermandad
y acabe la noche del error.
¡Levantaos, hombres de Dios!
la Iglesia os espera;
de fuerza carece para la tarea,
¡dadle fuerza en su labor!
¡Levantaos, hombres de Dios!
Andad por Sus caminos
como hermanos del Señor.
¡Levantaos, hombres de Dios!
